Editorial and Publishing Process
The Journal of Social and Educational Research (JSER) follows a double-blind peer review process to ensure impartial evaluation and academic rigor. All submissions are first screened by the editorial team for scope, formatting, and ethical compliance. Manuscripts that meet the initial criteria are then assigned to expert reviewers in the relevant field.
The typical editorial workflow includes the following steps:
-
Initial Screening by editorial staff
-
Double-blind Peer Review by at least two independent reviewers
-
Editorial Decision based on reviewers’ reports (accept, minor/major revision, reject)
-
Revision and Resubmission by the author(s), if required
-
Final Evaluation and decision by the Editor-in-Chief
-
Copyediting, Proofreading, and Publication
The entire process is managed through the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform (version 3.3.0.7), an open-source journal management and publishing system developed by the Public Knowledge Project (PKP). The platform facilitates submission tracking, communication with authors and reviewers, and ensures workflow transparency.
JSER adheres to ethical publishing practices and follows guidelines recommended by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). The editorial team is committed to maintaining editorial independence, integrity, and fairness at every stage of the publication process.
